I grew up in Canada in the 60’s and 70’s. There was little tension between religion and science. Adam and Eve was a fable designed for simpler times. Abortion was not possible for Catholics only; they didn’t try to push it on anyone else. It was about helping the poor, that was about it. In my opinion, they struck the right balance. I think religion needs to stay in its own lane. If one prescribes to it, fine; otherwise, que sera sera.
Dr. Francis Collins’s life and work show us that science and religion are not enemies, but rather two powerful aspects of human knowledge and understanding. His perspective reminds us that science answers the how questions of our universe, and religion helps us find the why questions. For a diverse and innovative nation like America, this balanced perspective is crucial, because it establishes a unity between reason and faith. Dr. Collins teaches us that when we respect both fields, we can achieve deeper understanding and unity.

Religion is the distorted version of science!

God is science…
There is a famous quote by Albert Einstein, “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind”
Try harder than that CNN 😀 🇺🇸
Dr. Francis Collins beautifully exemplifies that faith and science can coexist, each enriching the understanding of the other.
