  1. This is the modern day pitchforks. Pay thousands of dollars in to a system only to be denied coverage when you need it. Let them eat cake. That didn’t work out so well the last time. It won’t work out well this time either.

  2. Although this is unquestionably a horrific crime, large companies should maintain a better communication and transparency with the public, not just through a constant barrage of ridiculous “smily” big pharma commercials advertising medications later denied by the insurance carrier, along with related procedures. We even reached a level of stupidity now almost entertaining the idea of not covering costs for a prolonged anesthesia. This inevitably creates havoc especially among middle class patients with pre-existing conditions left to fend for themselves and often ending in bankruptcy.

This is why in Europe we feature safety nets through social medicine. On a personal note, I recently went through an hernia repair and was literally thrown out of the hospital within a few hours ending up vomiting inside the taxi that took me home. Although fully insured by United Healthcare I still had to pay a large out-of-pocket fee for reasons unknown. I should have gone to Italy where the procedure is free and they keep you up to 3 days at no additional cost.

And it is mind boggling that Republicans, adding insult to injury, keep trying to repeal Obamacare! Replacing it with what exactly? Elon Musk Billionaire Hotline?

Presently, the only ground known to a CEO is to safeguard a hefty bonus regardless of any damage his/her corporation will inflict on the public. The overwhelming attitude on top of the financial pyramid is that “the bottom will adjust itself” or “You can’t help those who cannot help themselves”. End of story.

  3. I don’t find anyway to justify this murder. What troubles me is the uproar over the shooting of 1 man. Never this much concern when innocent children are slaughtered at schools over and over and over and over again. What does THAT say about our society?

  4. Yall will shout “hero” to the guy who did this but will be whole villains and literally vote against your best interest. We can all agree health insurance sucks in America. But glorifying the death of a person instead of demanding a better system is wild. He will eventually be caught and we will still have billionaires in control the next 4yrs who by the way want to take away healthcare altogether.
